04 Jun '13 CIAM Series

CIAM Series is a set of works using the Congrès International d'Architecture Moderne (CIAM) as a lens with which to regard the moderns. Convening 11 times between 1928 and 1959, CIAM articulated the principles of the modern movement, providing an apt mediator for an investigation into what Bruno Latour calls the modern constitution.

11 works putting CIAM in relation to the present will be developed, culminating in a book. Each work will use contemporary techniques to examine assumptions about society and nature contained in the statements produced by the Congrès.
